I think you're going to have a hard time with a 4x magnified optic at ranges closer than 50 yards. Especially indoors, in the dark. Or do you mean you're hunting bad guys at night outdoors?

There is a huge cost difference between the two. Unless you have an extremely compelling need for magnification, I would get the EOTech. I think you will love it, but if it doesn't work out for some reason you can always sell it on the EE or eBay and get the ACOG. That makes it a pretty low-risk proposition.

Two different tools for two different jobs.
Most people will argue that you can use an EoTech out to 200~ yards just fine without magnification. If I was in the middle east, I'd prefer an Acog for the varying ranges, but for "bump in the night" stuff, an EOTech would be my choice |

I guess I'm just dreaming about a scope that does both jobs. EOtech it is, now to figure out which one. |
