Hey guys, how do you drill the gas port hole in the barrel without raising a burr in the bore....or do you drill the hole and remove the burr after somehow.  Help on this is appreciated before I buy a "holeless" barrel.  Thanks - Charles

Just drill it slowly.. If there is a burr, like asked about here commonly, just shoot it out.

I suppose you could "EDM" the gas port.

Use a centering bit to start your hole.  Drill very slowly, avoid overheating, and let the drill bit do the work.  If possible switch to a brand new, extremely sharp drill bit immediately before breaking through the bore wall.

No no no! Have it EDM'd if you want it done right. Short of that, force a pulled bullet down the bore to the point of the port; lock the barrel in a set of V-blocks, locate & center punch or mill a flat, then locate; use a center drill to start, then a brand new screw machine bit to finish into the bullet.
