At the risk of being called an ATF agent with only a few post under my belt..

I was looking at those Colt LEO 9mm marked lowers on Gunsamerica.com and this came up in the search. For the price that they are going for, this sounds too good to be true. I always heard they went for much more. Is there something I'm missing?

dude, although these may work if installed...

you would be a fool to buy it, they are illegal, they were banned in 86

the only ones yu can buy legally are found with proper documentation from the atf, they are like 9000 bucks give or take, these are illegal, do not buy it, do not look at one, do not touch one

it is either a sting, or someone taking advantage of people who do not know what is legal

i would not buy any machine gun part, or gun from anyone other than a licensed class 3 dealer, and with the proper forms filed with the atf, and returned by them, and only in a state that allows class 3

Don't touch that item with a 10 foot pole. They are legal to own if you don't have an AR. Having one and an AR constitutes having an illegal MG. Those things are not registered. The registered ones go for $4,000+ .
Do an internet search about those and you will find lots of info.

That's what I thought, but I had to ask. I also noticed the bit about '81 (vice '86) on the add.

Its entirely possible my figure was off. I saw an ad for one about six months ago on Subguns and it was sold within the hour ($4,500). I wish I had that extra money to blow. I wouldn't doubt for a minute that they were up to $7-10k now.
