just wondering.

Because most front sight bases are lower than mil-spec, and the LT sight is designed for mil-spec uppers.

I've got a Bushmaster upper......I figured I'd need one anyway as most BUIS' do.

This works with the LaRue on the Bushmaster carbine.

Thanks for the info. I have a Colt 0.40 taller sight post on my Bushy right now....I was interested in installing a nation match sight post in it's place.

No big deal I guess, it's just a carbine anyway

From Bushmaster site: "This sight post should also be used with the ARMS #40."

I just got a #40A but haven't sighted it in yet. Do I need the taller post?

Not necessarily. It may or may not work with the standard fromnt sight post. For $5, you might as well just get it in case if you are a going to place an order. If you don't plan on ordering anything else, I'd try it with the stock post first and see if it will zero.
