I know CMMG makes lightweight 14.5 barrels - both in CAR and midlength gas ports. However, those are 1/7 twist, MP tested, etc. - so they may be a little pricier.

CMMG makes a barrel that is basically the same thing but $100. IMHO, go with the CMMG. It comes with a phantom flashhider permanently attached That alone would cost $25 for the hider and $50 to get it attached plus shipping to some gunsmith. The CMMG barrel is going to be far better in quality.

Where are you finding a CMMG barrel for $100? Or for that matter, anything at CMMG that costs $100? |

That would be my guess too - otherwise I am calling for a refund!!! My 14.5" LW was over 3 bills with gas tube/phantom 5Shot |

Spend the $100 extra. The heart of any rifle is the Barrel! And CMMG=Quality. Worth the money.

I can shorten, thread and permanent attach something on ANY 16" barrel for you.
If cost is a concern, go with a 14.7" length and a permanent A2, A1 or a 3 prong flash hider. I say it's time for retro lightweights to all wear permanent attached 3 prong hiders on 14.7" barrels.  Lightweight mid-length 14.5" barrels are all the rage lately... |

I had a JnT 14.7 with perm attached A2 for while...shot great. I never tested for any extreme acuracy, as it was a light weight bbl. I could hit soda cans at 50 yards. I was happy. Spend the 100 bucks on ammo.
