Can a civilian easily purchase a Colt brand M16 bolt and M16 carrier from SAW ? Or, does SAW require some sort of FFL fax, law enforcement letterhead, etc. ?

If SAW is strict, would they at least sell the individual Colt brand bolt to civilians ?

Please, no questions or comments regarding if it is legal to have a M16 carrier in an AR15. This has been discussed already. Do a search please.

Instead of asking us (who can at best make a guess) invest in a phone call and ask them. Then you'll have a definitive answer.

Ok, so I got one "maybe. It will be worth the call." Has anyone purchased the M16 B/C from SAW ?

FWIW, I think you as a civilian could do much better in finding a Colt carrier at a much, much more reasonable price than you would pay from SAW.

Wes Grant will sell you an LMT auto carrier.

Haven't looked in the past couple of weeks, but last time I did, there were milsurp M16 carriers all over the EE used parts section of this site. Picked up two of them a few months back for less than the price of one unit from SAW.

I beleive Tapco is still carrying the Colt M16 BCG's. I think their last price was $119.

Is this it? They seem to have raised the price. They don't say it is Colt either. Is there confirmation that it is Colt?
