16" carbine with collapsible stock, A2 FH, and a fixed carry handle?  If so, what's the model number?  I know this may seem sacreligious to some, but for my purposes I don't need optics on a carbine.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you guys, and yes that was very fast.  One more question, do they make one with a heavy barrel?

Ah, my advice to you is keep the extra weight off your waist and your gun. It will not do a thing for you except slow you down.

Seriously, the 6721 really offers no advantage over the light weight 6520. The only situation where the weight will benefit you on a rifle like this is with full auto fire and it does not sound like that is what you plan on doing with it.

p.s. Correction, the flattop could be considered an advantage though it does not fit your original specifications.

It is my understanding that unless you can find a dealer who will gray market one to you and risk losing their Colt dealership, that model is only available to law enforcement agencies.

When did Colt change their policies, and do you have a link to anything official saying that?  Last I heard Colt was still saying that their pre-ban configurations would still be available only to law enforcement agencies even after the expiration of the AWB.

Where have you been for the past year???

Anyone can buy a Colt LE rifle now. Colt is continuing to ship them to LE distributors, not Colt commercial distributors. The LE distributors can sell them to anyone.

SAW and Clyde Armory are both Colt LE distributors and they will be more than happy to sell you a Colt rifle. There are many many more dealers out there with them, too.

Actually the reason for it is that it balances much better for me than the lighter barrels.  I've humped my 6920 all around the freakin' desert around here, usually 8 or 9 miles at a time, and the weight doesn't bother me at all.  Maybe it's from all those times I did it with my Garand!  Anyways, does anyone know of a Colt carbine w/A2 flashhider and upper?  By the way, are you making fat jokes ???

LEO colts are everywhere.  I guess Colt could stop selling to "non-PC" dealers,  but there are several companies that are well know for selling LEO colts and parts.  It isn't exactly a big secret. If colt wanted to stop it, all of these dealers would be out of a job(or selling other brands).  The "youc can't get an LEO colt is

Lifetime Warranty for Colt AR's

As for SAW I don't know, but check out Fidelis Firearms (E5MHotRod on the EE) he has the 6520 for $999.00 + $20.00 to ship.

I bought a 6721 from him (and I love the heavy barrel) and the service from Rod is outstanding.

Looking on SAW's website I see that they have what I've been looking for.  Anybody heard of a model 6525?

I believe the 6525 is a Government Carbine (6520) with a Tactical carbine (6721) barrel

Which is to say it is either a Government Carbine with a 1/9 heavy barrel or a Tactical Carbine with a fixed A2 carry handle
