You've got me intrigued. First off, any pics of this set up?
My set up would have to have the ACOG on top of a fixed carry handle.
Can I use a compact ACOG or do I have to use a full size?
Do I have to use a certain ACOG for the Docter to be set on top? Can an Aimpoint be mounted on top instead?
What about an ACOG on top and a dot (Docter or Aimpoint) sight on the left of the carry handle or left of the forearm, canted 90 degrees counter clockwise?
How SHTF proof are the Docter's?
Just thinking out loud?
The only acog you can readily mount a docter on is the TA01NSN modle. It would be way too high on a carry handle. This setup on a flat top is pushing the extream. Mounting the Docter on the side sounds like bull Sh!t to me, but I have never tried it so who knows.
An ACOG on a carry handle, IMO, is all you need; anything extra is just gonna get in your way. The only reason for a Docter on the TA01NSN is because of that model's poor ability for fighting in close. ACOG's with the BAC do not have this problem, so you don't need another sight on top. It's your rifle so you've every right to do as you please, but I strongly recommend against it.
