This is probably a dumb question, but how many of you own more than 1 AR? I currently have 1 AR15 and I thinking of getting a AR10. I can get it for $570. It is a great price that I hate to pass up.

View Quote Go for it, can never have too many that is why they make them in different calipers. I have 6 but this is not a free state anymore. Cant buy another. |

I've got around 30. Maybe closer to 35 these days if you include some un-built lowers.
Yes, I have several.
What kind of AR10 are you talking about? It sounds like a good deal unless something is wrong with it. PSA I think offered the cheapest. If ArmaLite, that's a screaming deal. |
Two is one, and one is none. DO it. And then buy some more.
Home Defense/SHTF AR Truck gun/beater Pistol AR SBR Long Range Precision Different calibers And then don't forget the mags...and the ammo...and the accessories. There's a reason it's call Black Rifle Disease. Though in my case, I've caught the FDE strain. (It's even more economically crippling) |
I think I have 6 AR's now. 4 in 5.56 and 1 in 300BLK, and 1 in 308.
Almost as many unbuilt lowers as built. Salad days, nothing wrong with getting more. all it takes is a Dem pres, congress, and SC and we can say hello to another AWB. Some say that won't happen for a long time, but look how much damage FBHO did in just 8 years....
It is the PSA Gen 2 AR10. You can buy the upper and lower separate for $530. My local gun store charges $40 for transfers.
Sorry, nope. I just don't post much.
I already own 6 handguns and several rifles. I have just been wanting to add a AR10 to the collection before big brother bans them. |
If you want one, go for it. I'd read some reviews first, but the PA10 Gen 2 seems to have positive ones. Purists will dislike you calling it an AR10, but I don't care.
If you're concerned about another ban, I would focus on imports. Those are always the first to go. |

Maybe... who wants to know?
I’ve got a “few” 5.56, a new one in 450 Bushmaster and an AR 10 in 308. I have a “few stripped lowers as well. Don’t fight it, but more while the getting is good. |

It is always good to have more than one AR. An AR in .308 is a good addition to any AR collection. Personally, I have dwindled down to only 41 AR-15s (complete), two AR-15 lower assemblies, and one KAC SR-25 Match (Mk11 Mod 0 conversion). I also have three SIGs (516, 556, and MCX). I have another retro build in the works (waiting on receivers). You can never have enough.

You should have enough to arm every member of your household.
Even the dog is assigned one in my house. |
I have.9 AR's all set up for different purposes. I have 4 extra lowers for future AR's also.
I currently have 4 with enough lowers to build a few more. I had at one time owned over 30, Had to sell do to medical reasons.
I won't answer how many dozens...
But I do have AR's consuming the following ammo. 22LR 223/5.56 .300 BO 9mmx19 45acp 458 SOCOM I am playing around with making up one in 22TCM. I think an 8"bbl SBR with can would be mucho grande FUN. |
Hell I have like 6 ar sbr's, I'd have to sit and count the title 1 guns....
Have a few a2's for basic screwing around, same with a wolf t91 style gun. On the normal ar's I have a bunch setup for different roles(and generally a backup rifle of each role). Anytime I've built an upper to do something I've ended up making it into a complete rifle. |
Go for it. It isn't a duplicate if it's a different caliber.
Where you at? Head over to the HTF, we might be able to find you a cheaper FFL. |
2 Colt ARs, one is large pin LEO engraved 6920 and a Walmart M4 6920.
I also have 2 Anderson Arms pistol lowers, and a Colt M16A1. Uppers: 14.5" Socomm, original 14.5" pencil barrel upper, DD Mk18 upper, 9mm upper, early Shrike upper, late MCR upper, 22 integral suppressed upper. |
I have over a dozen AR SBR’s in addition to a bunch of regular AR’s. Two is one but a dozen is better.....

Between built guns, built lowers, stripped lowers, uppers and 80% lowers, I have no idea of how many I have and I have given quite a few of the ones I have had away..
Me too. I feel like I have been missing out. I guess I will be buying a new AR in .308. I do have a mint condition .30 carbine, but it does not count as an AR.

You all are a bad influence. So I just ordered a AR10 Gen 2 upper and a AR10 Gen 2 lower from Palmetto State Armory for $530. I have not seen any others come close to this price. The upper includes the bolt carrier group.

I have a few. After I finish the 458 that I have going now, that'll be it. Done with gas guns and on to a couple of bolt actions.

I have more than 1, in various barrel lengths, calibers, rifles, sbr, pistol configuration, suppressed and unsuppressed
However I really don’t enjoy shooting unsuppressed anymore, and I’m going to adjust my collection accordingly |

Old photo, almost nostalgia. I have 12 built up, all shooters. I moved to AZ and the AWB sunsetted. These were the result. Some have changed calibers. Some are now different manufacturers. Many config and optics changes. Pool table still has same felt, carpet is now tile. https://i.imgur.com/tnQZ8UN.jpg View Quote |

idk over 30 in various lengths and calibers. gifted about a dozen over the years too
