Got a LaRue 12 inch from Grant, got the upper apart and put on the new barrel nut.  Tried to put on the tube and it does not fit over the bushy gas block.  Will a PRI low profile gas block work in place of the bushmaster (looks like a shaved front sight block)?  How the heck do you get the gas tube on once the tube is in place since the tube covers the block?hock.gif

TIA
Steve

Mount the block, put on the gas tube, then install the free float tube over the assembly.  Or you can mount the gas tube to the block, slide and mount the block in place and then mount the free float tube.  Either way, the free float tube should be last in the assembly.

The largest problem is that the handguard will not slide over the gas block which is to large.  Thanks for the input.

Here is a DD 9.5 installed over a KAC low profile gas block.  The KAC gas block is very close in size to the PRI gas block and the DD tubes are very close to the LaRue tubes, so I'd bet if you went with the PRI you would be good to go.

The other option would be to start removing material from the Bushy gas block until you can make it fit.  Slow, tedious and a very unprofessional look could result from doing it like this, IMO.

Thanks

Will order the PRI and give it a go.
