Marz tactical has a real nice discreet back pack just meant for the AR platform. They intro duced it at the 2012 shot show. Just type in Marx tactical in YouTube.

I use a pink breast cancer awareness racquetball case. That's as discreet as it gets.

Sert makes a good product. They make one that is 24 inches long that is made to accept a broken down AR. I don't have this one, but two of their 36" cases. They are heavy duty should last a long time.
