I used to have the ditital version.  It worked well, even on my 5 inch AR pistol.  I did have two problems:

1.  When shooting the short barrel, two of the rubber buttons fell off and I never found them.  I superglued the other two in.

2.  The reticle pattern that I liked best would switch after the first shot or two.
