For those of you who are so lucky to not only have a 6.8 upper but ammo to fire from it, what is the
difference in shooting experience as far as recoil, sound, etc. as compared to 5.56?  Thanks.

I feel no perceptable difference. Except for a louder whack on silhouettes. The 6.8 is a surprisingly docile round in the ar. I was expecting a much more severe whack.  The ar bolt travel absorbs it just like a 223.  Before you know it you are out of ammo.

I shot some video of the differences between a 5.56 and 6.8 M4 and a 7.62x51 M14 firing all three on full auto.  The 6.8 jumps around quite a bit more than a 5.56, but is nothing like the M14.  It was a lot of fun.  The 5.56 is mellow, the 6.8 lively, the M14 exhilarting........
