Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Difference Between A1 and A2 Flashider?

So what is the differnce between the A1 and A2 flashhider?  I'm building a sort of hybrid with an A1 profile barrel.  Will either flashhider work?  Thanks in advance.

A2's bottom port is closed so it has a small compensator effect.  As such it needs to be 'timed' when installed (hence the use of a crush washer or peel washer while the A1 uses a split washer).

A2 the real benefit of a a2 is while prone shooting if you are in a dusty environment it does not kick up the dust., like a A1
