Hi,

I have been trying to research a Colt Post-Ban model flattop. The gentleman says it's an A3 with a fluted barrel in a 16" length. I can't find much info on Colt providing fluted barrels on an A3 upper.

So my questions are did Colt make such a upper? Ideas on it's worth? Etc.

Thanks

I have never heard/seen one.  Chrome moly or stainless?  Colt puts markings on their barrels, look for those.  How is the model marked on the lower receiver?

I haven't seen it other than a picture. It didn't appear to be stainless, unless it was painted. It has a wilson brake on it which makes me wonder if it was pre-ban and just converted to post ban. You could clearly see the flutes under the handguards and on the barrel.

I'll get serial numbers when I get my hands on it.
