How far would the bolt/carrier fly out a lower w/no buttstock attached?

Say you had it clamped down & popped a cap.  50ft?   100ft?

Note:  I have NOT done this,  nor do I plan to,  nor do I think  any one else should  try it.

The carrier key would destroy the charging handle and lower receiver.

Make sure you post pics from the ER, though.

I always wondered about that...


It would be even cooler if a redneck (or an Iraqi) bought an AR-15 (Found an M16) and decided to saw off the stock...

Then we might have something to talk about...

lol honestly there are pics out there of something similar,  someone used a CAR Buffer in a Rifle tube,  I am sure someone has this pic/pics out there.  It doesnt achieve the same effect but would get a rough idea what kinda damage the gun would sustain
