I've caught the bug for an ar and I was looking at getting a bravo company but I can't find one anywhere near me to look at.   I stumbled upon a Daniel defense v3 but I have to decide on it tonight.  From what I've found it seems like a Daniel defense is a good rifle.  What do you guys think?  Thanks for the input

If the DD is at a good price and it is setup like you want, I would go with it.  Bravo is often out of stock, but if you want one, be sure to sign up for email notifications for any item you are interested in.

Both would be great, so you cannot go wrong.

If it's a fair price and not panic priced I'd jump hard and fast.

After seeing the quality of the general production DD rifles, I have lost a little respect for them. BCM on the other hand, is focused on quality and not production. If you want an AR to shoot at the range both will be just fine. If you want only top quality parts made to the highest standards BCM is the only choice. BTW there is a reason why they are always out of stock....

If I had to choose I think I would go with a BCM.

Can you elaborate on the DD issues?

DD is up there with the best. As is bcm.
I'd have no problem with a DD as my go to rifle.

Do it

I purchased a DD M4V4 a month ago and thus far am very pleased with it.  I don't think you will be disappointed with the DD.

I disagree, Daniel defense is very much quality oriented. All their barrels are produced in house and are cold hammer forged, their rails are second to none, they offer the best lower receivers in my opinion (slightly flared mag well), and they now have their innovative front sight post and flash hider.

Their overall packages are very complete, and come with a hard case, vertical foregrip, quality fixed rear sight, ladder rail covers, and a PMAG.

BCM is awesome, no doubt. But it would be hard for me to say one is better than the other

Thanks for the input guys.  When the dealer opens up today at noon I'm going to get the dd.  you guys confirmed what I thought about Daniel defense.   When this craziness clears up maybe I'll be able to find a bravo company as well.

I've got one of each and they are very boring and reliable. Not one problem with either one.

I really dont think you know what you are talking about......  You do realize that DD makes ALL their own parts and BCM outsources parts right?

OP, I would just ignore this guys posts.  You will always get a few people on here that think they are experts

I'd disagree with that, I have a DD M4 V5, and a DD SBR 11.5" both excellent, what do you base your misinformation on and how many do you own?
BCM's are well regarded, I don't own one though and I think either would serve you well.

I have had both DD and BCM in 16/14.5 inches and can;t tell the difference between quality.

Very hard, if not impossible to beat the quality of a DD rifle, (as well as a few others).
