Is the Daniel Defense the best thing to install over a shaved FSB or a low profile gas block? Will it fit over a chopped FSB? I'm thinking that the Troy would actually be the easiest, but it's significantly heavier than the DD.

ETA:
If anyone have pics of the process involved in installing a DD I'd love to see them.

Norman74,

I don't think it will

Pretty sure that even the FH has to come off first

I know that the FH and FSB/gas block have to be removed to get the new barrel nut on, but I think (and I could be mistaken here) that once you get the barrel nut on, you can install the FSB, gas tube, and muzzle device before you screw on the DD.

Denny-
Does that mean that a shaved/chopped FSB won't work?
