I'm in the market for a DDM4v1 and stumbled across a new state compliant v1. It is not a CA compliant model but rather a short  lived production for states like MD with less restrictions than CA. It appears that the only difference between this rifle and the standard V1 is that it is shipped with a 10 round magazine (irrelevant) and has a fixed Magpul skeleton stock.

The pros are that I actually prefer a fixed stock and that it is several hundred dollars cheaper than the standard model. DD doesnt make this model anymore and I can't find any information about it on the web.

Does anyone have any experience with a fixed-stock DDM4v1? I'm leaning towards FO.

I fent. The store confirmed that the only difference between this model and the standard is the stock. $1099. Can't wait to shoot it

probably has a pinned muzzle device as well.

Just look at standard V1 reviews if the stock is the only difference. DD rifles are very nice and that is a good price. I had that stock on my rifle for a while but opted for an MOE for the adjustability.

Thanks. I have a couple spare MOE collapsible stocks if I decide to trade it out. But I've always prefered a fixed stock. I've always used BCM and Colt rifles, but I know DD is of equal quality.

Honestly, I recently had to sell some rifles to pay for a major home repair, and found myself with only one AR. When everything was said and done, I had some money to play with. I wanted a quality back-up AR and was going to get an LE6920. I was finding them from $900-$1100 and figured that this was a better deal (with the FF rail, sights, and CHF barrel).

Don't feel bad. I just found out what it was like 2 days ago. I think it started in GD and I never go there.

The listing didn't mention anything about a pinned device, and neither did any of the other vendors that still carried this model. I guess I will find out when it gets here. Of course this is the one question I forgot to ask when ordering....and I had a lengthy list.

Some of them have a heavy profile barrel instead of the govmt profile that is standard on them. I don't mind the heavy barrels though.

The listing claims it is an M4 profile barrel, although I would actually prefer a heavy barrel.

It's the DD muzzle climb mitigator. I can't find much information on it. I've never used a brake, and am excited to try it out. In the event I don't like it I can always replace it with a standard FH. I'm not too worried about the noise since I shoot on private property out in the sticks.
