For those of you who have one, how thick is it? As compared to a DD ambi Burnsed loop (have one on AR now but want to replace it)? I have been told by others that it is thick enough to prevent the stock from locking closed. I was thinking why couldn't the thickness be milled/sanded down a little or even a little of the stock sanded down to close the length difference. If that would work, I'd take the mount to a local cerakoter and have it coated.  

Rear Receiver QD Swivel Attachment Point

Here are pics of the mount on my build. It's still a work in progress. I can't close the stock all the way with the QD swivel attached.I can without the QD swivel. The mount is great and truly ambidextrious. It's about 3/16" wide at the top where the mount wraps around the buffer tube and 3/8" below the buffer tube. I bought mine at Gear Sector, here, for $5 cheaper then DD and more if you're LEO or .mil. The service at Gear Sector is great and great products. When I called I talked to the owner, Jason, he was super helpful and knowledgeable. These are the first pics of my build on AR15.com been building it since Feb. For anyone interested, I installed this mount on my AR. It has a SOPMOD stock. The stock will close completely locked in place with the QD installed in it and will still swivel as designed.
