B-Square has a very good distribution network with the major mail-order houses.
Crap? Yes, but the mail order houses don't know that.
They will buy up a bunch of them.
Un-knowing suckers will buy them from companies like CTD and Sportsmans Guide.
Eventually, word will get out and they will be available on close-out for $65.
Then even the cheap ARFCOM bastards will buy them.

When customers want me to build with parts that are crap, I explain to them why those parts are crap and give other recommendations.
It's not like I came in here saying, oh that's crap, you have to buy product X from me, it's WAY better.
I don't build freefloat tubes so I don't have a dog in this fight.
Yes, I do sell freefloat tubes, but you did not see an advertisement from me did you?

Ok, here's the thing.
There are a bunch of armchair commandos on here that will tell you you absolutely need to own a Daniel Defense, Knights or LaRue handguard because of the way the forend tube attaches to the barrel nut with indexing pins and the anti-rotation features of the barrel nut.

I often get chastised when I recommend the YHM because YHM and others of the same design have an inherent problem.
The problem is that the forend tube is held by threads and no positive pin.
There is at least a $150 difference in price between YHM and the top-tier systems.
The reason I recommend YHM's is that I install a locking pin that locks the forend to the barrel nut.
The detractors are quick to point out that there is no positive lock between the barrel nut and reciever.
I'm working on that one...

So, get a YHM, but add your own locking screw after you install it.
It's quite easy.
Flip the upper upside down, drill a hole for an 8-32 setscrew all the way through the forend and into the barrel nut.
You should break through into the (un-used) gas tube hole at 6:00.
Now tap the hole and loctite a 1/4" long setscrew into the hole.
Your forend tube will never move unless you somehow twist the whole thing hard enough to break the barrel nut loose.
That's my opinon and I'm sticking to it.

I have not personally installed any of the non-floating handguards.
That's such a simple thing that end users are doing it, no need for an armorer like me.
Most uppers I build from scratch have freefloat systems on them.
The uppers I sell from LMT or Rock River usually go out the door with standard handguards or freefloat tubes.
I'm not price competetive with all the suppliers that will sell you a non-floated quad-rail system you can install yourself, so I don't really deal with them.

I do know that you are good with Knights, Surefire or MI.
I have never played with a YHM (funny since I am a YHM dealer) so I won't comment as to wether they are on the same par as the other 3.
Stay away from the plastic ones like Fobus or First Samco.
