i can get a new DPMS for $699 (+flashlight accessory) carry handle or flat top

i can get a used, (almost new) RRA for $800 (flat top with rear sight option on)

which way should i go

I'm not going to comment on which is better as I have owned both and liked both. I will say, that you will be happy with either choice.

Does the DPMS AR, you are looking at, have a chrome lined barrel?

not sure, phone line busy on other end

RRA, but talk them down on the price.

$750 for a slightly used AR would be OK in my book.

Besides, it wouldn't cost a hell of a lot more than that new.

Just my opinion

Chrome lining with DPSM is a $50 (or so) option. That "could" explain the big difference in price.

If you go the RR route, you need to see if that is chrome lined. If chrome lining is a feature you want for your barrel.

yikes where did you get that great deal?

Both are quality rifles. You can't go wrong.
If you decided to sell later on, the Rock River name may hold more "sway" (at least here it does) for a final buyer.

Either one will serve you well. Check the features and what you want, and go from there. This will not be your last AR purchase

My buddy has a DPMS and I have a RRA, same config I wouldn't trade him. The lower and upper fit better on mine and the trigger is much better. The DPMS isn't bad, its just not great
