What ammo runs best in the DPMS .308 with the factory 16" or 20" barrel? If you are using a reload go ahead and tell me what bullet, powder, primer, OAL, ect.

If you have used ammo that didn't work, feel free to tell me what didn't work for you as well.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have the 16".  I have the 24".  The only powder I have used thus far is Ramshot Tac and that is because I have like 40lbs of it.  Using 41.5 gr of Tac with Hornady 168gr AMAX bullets I am getting .7 MOA.  I am not at home and can't remember the OAL but it is basically seated enough to fit the mags.  I don't crimp.  I am using a progressive though so I am not trickling the powder.  Also I am not cleaning the primer pockets other than tumbling the brass after resizing/decapping.  I suspect with a powder trickler and some Varget it would be realistic to get around .5 MOA.

Hornady amax bullets are the shit though.  Try them.
