I would like to get a nice A2 detachable sight or handle that isn't garbage.

I saw Tapco's $40 carry handle and it looked like the Leapers carry handle. Do they hold zero??

I'd like to get something that works good and is mil-spec/HD.

Is the DPMS rear non-folding sight a nice piece? I am looking for a rear sight that will work on an A4 flattop. And I do not want a flip down.

LaRue if you dont care about windage.

LMT if you do.

Windage or elevation??  Anyway, with your milspec/HD requirement, these two would be your choices.  Also, the DPMS takes up way too much rail space, IMO,

The two you ask about are not mil-spec. Mil-spec means that an item meets spec's certified by gov't inspectors, neither is bought by the gov't for our troops.

i have the dpms non-flip down and i like it alot. might be a little bulkey but  less weight than a carry handle. it does have windage and elevation adjustments as stated above. great deal for $55.

Ya, Jack, we know.  The use of the term "mil spec" has pretty much become to describe anything that is black and fits on an AR.

True, it's a shame that so many claim mil-spec, when they are not even a goverment supplier and are not even close to any spec., sept their own, that then vary from batch to batch.
