hello all

i'm looking to see if anyone is using this trigger and if it has tobe modified in any way

the reason i ask is ....... i put one in my dpms 308 and when i shoot it holds the bolt open till i let the pressure off the trigger

with the stock trigger in place when you hold pressure on it it pulls the hammer down just a bit but with the RRA trigger it kinda holds the hammer up just a bit
and when the pressure is released the hammer goes down a little

so what i'm asking is ..........has anyone had to radius the hammer where the notch is
cut in it so it will have clearance for the carrier to go back forward.

ask sson as i let the pressure off the trigger after a shot the carrier goes back into battery like it should

i think it maybe the bigger diameter of the 308 carrier that is causing the problem
and it want hurt to radius the hammer

well i did radius the hammer and it now works great

i took a die grinder and radius the top and finished with a 400 grit stone to smooth out the curve.

only about .156 was removed to give the clearance that was needed

The RRA trigger neeeds to be modified for the DPMS. I went with the JP trigger kit so I would not have to do this. No big deal just use a belt sander and remove the metal untill it works. The JP kit uses the original hammer.

I don't know about a belt sander, most people who encounter this issue use gun smithing stones, and it usually takes very little to get it to un-hang.  Go slow a few swipes at a time and retest, you don't want to remove too much.
