Picked up a "used" LR-308 AP4 for $760 today.  I think it is a real good deal, I have never been a DPMS fan so tell me how I did.

I seriously doubt more than a box of ammo had been shot through this thing.

Fit and finish are great, this thing fits together with no wobble at all.  Other AR pattern uppers and lowers I have are AR Performance, RRA, Stag, Spikes, and Bushmaster and this looks just as nice as any of them!

Any good AP4 sites?

I didn't have the AP4 but did have a DPMS LR 308,  It was extremely accurate with most factory ammo, even mil surp. A tack driver with 168 SMKs over 43.5gr of IMR 4064. I loved it but due to a shoulder problem I had trouble with speed drills and sometimes if it was bad just shouldering it., so  I bought an AR Performance 6.8 and sold the DPMS to fund it and converting to a new caliber. I still have a couple thousand rounds of .308 handloads left, so I need to get back in the .308 game. I think I'll go bolt gun this time.
A pic of the old girl.

I had been buying a bunch of surplus 308 but went with 6.8 instead a few years back, but now have a need for 308 due to an upcoming Moose Hunt.

I was thinking of trying the 6.8 for Moose but decided against it.

You got a sweet deal. I love mine, and I've shot sub MOA with FGGM ammo.

ARFCOM does not fail to deliver.  I have the LaRue version but was about to ask for a decent alternative.  The Burris rings on my precision rig are incredibly stout.

Thanks.

You'll love it. I've got the same rifle with an 18" bull barrel.  It's my 'go-to' rifle.  I replaced the trigger with a Geissele and purchased ARMS quick-release mounts so I can swap both my scope and Comp ML2 red dot depending on the shooting I'm going to be doing.  And, as others have testified, mine eats virtually anything I feed it.  For that money, you got yourself an outstanding rig.
