I cant tell you about the rail but can definitively tell you that yes, you can mount an AR10 upper on a DPMS lower, here is a link to a thread I had on this very subject.

You will need the LR-308 specific configuration for the freefloat rails out there - JP Rifles, Daniel Defense, etc. I'm not sure the LT rail comes in an LR-specific configuration. |

The barrel nut thread specs are different so you need a DPMS/Knights specific barrel nut. The location of the gas block seat is 3/16" shorter on DPMS 308 rifle length gas system barrels compared to Armalite rifle length gas system barrels. Some AR-10 handguards MAY be long enough that this is an issue. |
