DPMS has brought out there own brand of 45 round mags. Cost, $85.00 MSRP. Does anyone have any experience with them? I've seen their ads in Shotgun News.  billt.

I saw them at the last gun show in MN. DPMS and a few on the table for sale. They looked cool but I bought some 30 round mags from them and a HK 30 round mag instead.

they look cool?  different than I would imagine it would, i.e., double the exposed portion of mag and sorta looking freakish?

i think it would catch on everything... but make a great monopod for the standing position.

What's wrong with good ole USGI 30 rounders? $75 more to get an extra 15 rounds seems like a lot. And don't get me started on the HK steel mags. Good USGI's have never failed me. I've dropped them on tac reloads, stepped on them, and they still work. If I ever damage them or someone walks off with them on the range, I'm only out $15 bucks.

Looks like two mag bodies welded together, very cheesy and cheap for 90 bucks in my opinion. I'll pass and stick to USGI.

Roger Roger that! It looks like one of those stupid 50 - 60RD AK mags that somene pieced together. 30rds are just right for me. If I was that worried about capacity I would spend the extra money and get a Bete C mag. I would still rather spend the money on a bunch of 30rds and some magpul followers.

Looks like it's just barely > two 30 rounders duct-taped end to end together.

yeah, you might as well weld them end to end.  you'd flip the f'er over and re-insert.

i think they had to develop a $60 spring for that bitch to work.

There was a thread discussing these already.....maybe in the magazine forum?

I think the consensus was why waste your money on such a piece of crap? The weld looks horrible (and thats the one they chose for the picture!!), I'd hate to see what it looks like when inserted into a rifle, and as was said, why so much extra money for 15 more rounds?
