I planning on building a mid-length AR & wanted to keep it as light as possible BUT with a free floated forend. I've got/am getting a RASII for my BM & I have the Surefire on my RRA. I was thinking about using a Daniels Defense 9.0 forend BUT I am going green on this one & wanted to use Knight's OD panels. Will they fit on all sides?? I heard that the sides of the DD are not in spec? Is this true? How will it affect fit? All replies & advice is greatly appreciated!

The KAC pannels are a little tight, but they will work.  These have been painted green with Brownell's Aluma-Hyde.....Just my personal preference, but the I like the Tango Down pannels better, more robust than the KAC pannels and half the price....**If you go with the Tango Down pannels have the pannels on the top rail installed BEFORE you have it put on your gun....the TD rails are a little thicker and don't flex like the KAC pannels, thus they have to be put on the top rail prior to having the rail installed on the gun.  Good luck
