I have one of the Brownells 12.7" barrels with the faux moderator permanently attached on one of my XM builds. It works good and has no issues though it is about a 1/2" longer in overall length then I would like it to be. I also have a DoubleStar 11.5" pencil barrel that I also purchased from Brownells with a permanently attached AR15Sport.com faux moderator which is a touch longer then other faux moderators on the market and is made to be used with a 11.5" barrel. That setup has an overall length of 16.2" which in my opinion looks better having a shorter barrel and a slightly longer faux moderator. Though the other setup looks just fine as well.

How is their A1 upper? I was planning on putting a 4x colt scope on it
