While searching for my recent M4 kit, I noticed the 24" A2 kit offered. I understand the want and purpose of most builds, but this one has me stumped. Is this a varmint rifle with a standard look? Just curious what this set up is used for.

I guess if you want higher velocity you'll have to go with a longer barrel.

I plan on building one, cause I allready gots one of everything else. Does that answer your question?

I guess it would be good for the hardcore varminter that doesn't like glass on his build

I was kind of thinking it had that, "hey, that's different", or "I don't have one of those" qualities about it.

The 24" for varmint rifle is fine. The old 26" barrels looked just plain cumbersome though.

Why?

Why not?  Reasons are for wives that control the checkbook.

Yep and if you miss em with the bullet you can poke em with the barrel

The 24" barrel is better for longer distances where you need the greater velocity.
It works quite well also. I own the Bushy Varmint Rifle. I've shot a many prairie dogs and coyotes. It's a damn shame we don't have River or Warf rats around here cuz I'd shoot them two. It's hilarious to watch prairie dogs flip four and five times and as high as three and four feet in the air slinging blood and guts everywhere. I went out last Friday and had so much fun. I laughed so hard a couple of times that my stomach hurt! If you haven't already seen it, I recomend watching the DVD "Dog-Be-Gone".

Semper Fi,

Brian
