Hi folks,

What's the difference between these two color variations ?

I bought a 'Dark Earth' Magpul MIAD, and want to match the color with rail covers. Would Coyote Brown and Dark Earth be the same color with a different name, or are the shades different ?

Thanks.

Coyote Brown is more tan IMO, although different manufacturers' products sometimes come in different shades.

Thanks for the info.

So with the 'Dark Earth' colored MIAD, who makes the closest match in firearm paint finishes to 'Dark Earth' ?

Brownells has 'Earth Brown' and 'Coyote'....not sure if the 'Earth Brown' is too dark to match 'Dark Earth'...looks
like it from the pictures here.

I might like to paint my Daniel Defense 12.0 Rail to match the MIAD. Any thoughts ?

I used Aevroe Flat Brown Earth and Krylon Tan Camo rattle cans to come up with a darn good close match to Magpul FDE. The TD VFG is a little grubby looking now
