I almost got one of these for my lr-308, but I want a compensator with a bit more compensation. Looks awesome though, and who cares about comp on a 5.56? |

Thanks for pointing out that it does look more like Saurons mace than Gandalfs staff. |

I bought a tulip flash hider off an MSAR E4 and it looks alright. I just need a peel washer.

Add to the looks? Seriously? How about getting one that actually does something.

Reviews I've read on it were identical to the FSC30 as far as controllability goes, with the XTC being a bit heavier on the recoil and a bit quieter for the shooter, although most people said they didn't really notice any difference. I still say you get the Tromix, it could be used as a bayonet in a worst case scenario! |
|
Stick with the a1 or a2 those are great FH if you want a break get a break that works.
Most of these botique devices are simply bush and twig catchers that will always be poking holes in or tearing stuff like gun bags, car uplostry, pants, jackets, and bead spreads if you are a range shooter. If you are a hunter or carry in wooded areas even a little most of these muzzle devices are a major hinderance. |
|
i like the pws sm556 and the aac breakout both look sweet, but the aac is supposed to be great performance wise.

Weak sauce. How about an FH that will cut rebar???
LMT Nothing like sticking your barrel up against some rebar, pulling the trigger, and hoping for the best... |
|
Looks aside, sharp and pointy things on the end of a muzzle device are a good way to put holes and rips in things you'd rather have in one piece, including yourself. Whacking something or someone with a regular flash hider works just fine.

Quoted: How about a flash enhancer! http://www.keepshooting.com/productimages/firearmaccessories/add-ons/flash-enhancer-for-guns-m16-ar15-223-muzzle-b.jpg Buy HERE That would be fun on the M16 with a 7" barrel! |

heres a nice "twist" on the standard a2 flash hider

I drank the AAC blackout kool-aid. They look great and outperform any other FH (the Vortex is a VERY close second).

I run an M60 muzzle device on my DPMS Sportical 7.62X51. Looks awesome.

I can see that being a pucker-inducing experience the first time you try it, but guys who've used them say they work like gangbusters. It's actually a really, really cool piece of engineering but not of any practical use to me, along with being probably rather heavy and very expensive. I bought a Phantom 5C2 because it looked cool, and it turned out to be a great flash hider. It's going on another build once my can arrives (the ultimate flash hider). |

I love the looks, but I can tell you it is NOT a hider.....it makes for a nice fireball and isn't very quiet either |
