Well I already own an RRA middy. And I want to purchase another AR with this money. Any suggestions as to what firearm to purchase? I would like to stay with known companies... ie: colt, bushmaster, or another RRA... Any advice is appreciated!

Stealth upper, LMT Sopmod lower. That would be a very sweet rifle.

+1 Something along the lines of 3k ammo from Aims and the balance in Doublestar lowers from them as well. Should be able to work in a freebie or two with that. Maybe free shipping?

I just went through this decesion a day ago. I went with an LMT MRP CQB, Ive already got an LMT lower with a sopmod, and 2 stage trigger to put it on. And they will have the piston system avilable for them soon.

Seems like a good excuse to add up the cost of a recent build that may become a favorite:

Bushmaster Superlight 16" 1:9 upper with F/A BCG and charging handle, delivered (PK) $534.00
Yankee Hill skeleton stock (YHM) $65.30
WOA triggerless LPK with an Ergo grip and Magpul enhanced trigger guard (ADCO) $92.00
Doublestar lower (Texas Tactical) $108.00
Timney trigger (GTS) $204.50
KNS pins $32
"Tactical" bolt catch (Sportsman Guide) $9.97
Burris FastFire in LaRue IronDot mount (LaRue) $387.81*
TOTAL $1433.58

*I'm in Texas, so LaRue charge sales tax

If a lightweight interests you.

COLT

Either a "like-new" SP1 or a LE6920

Seen an original NIB SP1 go for $1400 (BIN) on GB earlier this week.  It was SWEEEET!

You're going to have a Colt 6920LE someday anyhow, so it might just as well be now.

Amen brother. Amen.

Why are people always asking others what they should buy next? I believe in doing research. Look at the various weapons already built to get ideas. Then, start researching the parts and the vendors. I would not tell you what to buy with your money no more than I would listen to anyone telling me what to buy next. I educate myself and make up my own mind. There are plenty of ideas to be gathered just looking at the picture thread. There is a variety of vendors that support ARFCOM that you can use. Follow the links and do some shopping.

I am not trying to be mean, but realistic. I have four ARs and chose every one of them myself. This is the latest one.

A LMT-LCW Build:

This was my third build so to speak. I get a lot more satisfaction out of doing a lot of things myself. I like my ARs the way I want them from the start. I choose my uppers, lowers, stocks, handguards, optics, and other accessories without anyone's help. I just do my homework.

"Coming into some money."

One option would be to invest it so that $1500 wouldn't be "coming into some money" down the road. Great time to buy.

Another very good option would be to invest that in a good AR. For $1500 you could find a nice Colt that would be a great shooter and investment.
