Looking at getting a 16 SS barreled flattop for coyote hunting and fun, and was wondering if there was a way to mount both a scope (probably a 3-9x type for 100-300 yds) and an aimpoint/holograph-type close range sight on the same weapon at the same time. This way, can shoot at 20 yds with a quick sight picture with the aimpoint (running dogs) or 300 yds at a standing dog (9x on the scope). Not to mention, I would rather have the 1x sight for plinking use as opposed to using the scope. Could you have one off to the side or underneath (the 1x) while the magnified scope is down the barrel center, or is there a problem with parralax (only want the 1x sight for closer than 100 yds, if that matters)? Or would it just be best to have QD mounts and change the optics out per application?

Thanks

Some guys like to mount a Doctor Optic red-dot atop their regular rifle scope for 3 gun shooting, IIRC MSTN and Adco have a scope mount allowing for the installation of the DocOptic.

Ya might check them out on the EE or Industry forum.

get a QD type mount for the eotech ( GG&G ) and get  QD scope rings.
They can be changed out in seconds and have a return to zero ( with in 1 moa )

Thanks, both sound like viable ideas
