Hi all,

With the new Gov't up here they are finally looking at the stupidity of our gun registry, however we are still stuck with 5 rd mags for centerfire semi-auto longguns

Does anyone know of  a dealer that has the original Colt factory blocked (to 5 rds) straight 20 rd mags? I would post a WTB in the EE but I can't see that getting much seller traffic.

They are pretty rare since it was really easy to simply remove the "U" shaped piece of sheet metal to make a 20 although later ones had a rivet holding the floor plate on(which didn't stop me).  It would be pretty easy to reproduce the "u".

Ya I was figuring that...kinda hoping someone saw a bunch of blocks or complete mags at a gun show or something. Oh well....the search continues.

This may not be what you are looking for, but I believe Bushmaster sells straight 5 round mags. They are a little pricy, IIRC. Sold for people who use the AR to hunt.
