I know the Twist, Stock and Handgaurd are different.
What else is different about these Colts?
What is the same.
Thanks in advance.

The 6731 does not have a full chrome-lined bore, only chamber, it is in a lighter contour, it does not have the side sling mount, nor that lousy compensator. It has the A2 stock instead of the faux collapsable one, A2 CAR profile handguards, and it does not have the M4 Carbine markings.

It might or might not have the heavy buffer, extractor, etc.

Just a guess, but i bet the non-M4 carbine is lacking the M4 feedramps.

The MT6731 has a 16" heavy barrel (not light contour) with only a chrome lined chamber, the MT6400C has a 14.5" M4 profile chrome lined barrel with pinned on compensator. So the MT6731 will have minimally higher muzzle velocities.

My MT6731 has an M4 marked upper receiver and the M4 type extended feed ramps. I would assume the MT6400C has them as well.

I don't know what kind of buffer the MT6400C has in that cheesy fake collapsable stock, but my MT6731 has a cheesy plastic buffer in it's A2 stock.

No side sling adapter on the MT6731.

I've got a 6400 and love it! If you want an A2 stocked HBAR weapon you might as well get a 20" rifle. A 16" rifle is meant to be light and handy. The 6400C is an excellent choice and that brake is not loud to the shooter.

The Colt website shows the 6731 being two tenths of a pound lighter than the 6400c.
No brake and a HB and it is lighter than the M4gery.
Their website could be wrong though.

H buffer in the 6400c. Also, I like the brake. A-2 stock now on mine and I like it fine. Numbered top rail also, for the record.

Yeah, that cant possibly be right. Maybe a little optimistic on their part but certainly not correct.

My MT6731 seems noticably heavier than my all Colt pre-ban M4gery with a 14.5" barrel and Vortex flash suppressor. Maybe I'll have to get some specific weights.

So the 1/7 is chrome lined all the way and the 1/9 is not? Is this true on all the other colt 1/9 barrels?
