Why? Because they build the "real" M-4's.

You'll notice a big difference in quality between the two. I would choose the Colt.

The DPMS item you posted is only 4140 steel, is not chromelined and is a 1/9 twist.

For a 14.5", chromelined, 4150 steel,1/7, you have three options;
1) The [url=ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=22&t=174919]CMMG/DPMS[/url] barrels and uppers on the EE! These barrels are a CMMG exclusive.

2) call [url=bushmaster.com]Bushmaster[/url] and see if they have any left in stock.

3) pay 2X-3X as much for a Colt barrel, if you can find one.
