I recently purchased a great colt marked bayonet at a fun show but it had just a few rust marks on the blade.  I would like to check under the handle to make sure none has gotten to the tang of the blade, but this one isnt assembled like the military M7's as described in the TM.  It has a solid plastic handle and no screws in the grip.  The only screw on it is the one in the pomel holding the lug plate on.  If anybody can help out that would be great.
