Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt Pre-Ban w/pinned block. What year?

List: Purchased a near mint Colt HBAR that carrys a HMxxxx S/N. It has a pinned block in the receiver and the block is stamped COLT.

When did Colt install this mod? How many HBARs were produced with this type of block? It this a rarity?

I think you mean MHxxxx an no it is not rare.   It is just a way for Colt to get some Liberals off their back.    Look in the industry forum and get Colt's number and give them a call.   Customer Service is who you need to talk with.   They can probably tell you the year or maybe even what month it was made.    Hope this helps.
