I saw one at the last gun show for $1000 and was wondering what your experiences were with match or hunting loads?  Are they more accurate than a standard HBAR version?

I posted this question on the Industry board too.

Thats wholsale on a 6724.  You got a deal!  That said the chambers are big.  With match ammo they shoot tight, but anything else is shotgunning.  If you reload, neck size only.  I think the standard HBAR is a better tube.  Thats why I now build my own uppers.  I can do better than factory, with all factory parts but the BBL.

I've been shooting mine for three years. Never liked the Colt "Match" trigger, so I replaced it with a JP single stage. I use it as a varmint rifle anyway. Don't know why anyone would use it with cheap ammo anyway. Buy something with a chromed bore if that's your cup of tea! I also added a buttstock weight.

Best 100yd. three shot group (off bench) is a .113" backed up by a .130" and witnessed at my club range! I'll even give you the load. Win. brass and primer, 52gr. SMK, 25gr. H4895, 2.26 OAL. No one AR is everything to everybody. I've got five others to play with and I doubt the CAR3 Elite would be the choice if it was to be my only one, but it does what it's supposed to do on prairie dogs, and makes fools out of some of the benchresters at the club with their gadgets and other anal doodads.
