I just bought a pre4-ban Ar-15 carbine.  I already own a Colt AR-15 Sporter which I installed a floating barrel handguard that really improved accuracy.  I want to do the same for the carbine but noticed the carbine's front sight assembly seems to be installed with rivets rather than drift pins like the Sporter.  Is the front sight assembly able to be disassembled to allow slipping on a floating handguard?  How?
