a friend of mine wants to dump me a complete colt 7.62 upper for cheap-500.00. don't know too much about these things or even if its cheap. he has never shot it-no mags. a good deal or possible future nightmare???

I think I read here somewhere that you can load up to 8-10 rounds in a AR15 20 round MAG and it will feed and function OK?????????

The price sounds about right. I had a preban config upper in Colt and I sold if for 450.00 with some
mags,

he told me that he uses the 30 round mags. don't know though.
