Is it legal to convert a 4 position stock to a fixed & what is involved?  Also has anyone ever used the Brownells matte black finish to redo a upper?  Help.  Thanks in advance for any replies.  Will have to check after work.  Have to be there at 7:00 am.

Yup, you can pin it and glue/weld it. Not sure how you go about doing it. Ive seen a couple done though. And its completely legal. Just make sure to keep the rifle above the min overall length. But even in the fully collasped position I think it keeps the OAL within the law.

This is one of the laws thats confusing to me.
If fully extended or fully collapsed and its still within the overall length...then why is it illegal on a post ban?

So if I were to fill the tube with epoxy would it be legal?

To be 100% legal I think it has to be pinned. But I wouldnt think they would hassle you if you epoxied it.

Where would it need to be pinned?
