This is an idiotic question. Prepare to laugh. I just got the Ace Stock M4 standard collapsing stock. Is it supposed to be able to just keep sliding right off the buffer tube?

I dont know anything about that particular maker of stock, but I dont think that is normal. I have played with quite a few different Telescoping stocks and none of them ever came off like that. I would call thier customer service and send it back....

Ok, color me stupid. There is an adjustment knob on the detent that has to have a roll pin punched out. You put the tube on, slide the stock on, adjust the knob until you can slide the stock off the tube with the lever depressed and then put the roll pin back in.

Whoo Hoo! I learned something new.
