Need more info, whose barrel, .223 or 5.56 chamber, whose upper or receiver, did you build the upper or
was it prebuilt. Is the chamber adapter seated properly on the rails?

If the barrel is 5.56 it should fit. chrome lined or not. All my barrels are chrome lined.

It should fit whether the barrel is 5.56, .223, or .223 Wylde

Some barrels are marked 5.56, but aren't really (a lot of claims against DPMS on this topic).

Some barrels may have been cut with a reamer near the end of it's useful life (i.e. small) whereas some Ciener kits may be near the larger side of tolerances, which could cause the chamber adapter to not fit.

Lots of possibilities - very few guarantees in life.

Dykem/Sharpie may be your friend here. Pics would be helpful also so everyone here can see what you see and offer more guided assistance, rather than generalities.

There are always variables to what should fit. I have 2 rifles with
.223 Chambers, they must be very tight on the spec. Even when
they're clean it's a little tight getting some Conversions in. After they've
been fired with the chamber adapter in, it's a tug a war to get it out.
If the chambers weren't very clean to start with, the conversion bolt
wouldn't go in... That's really the point I should have made.

My thinking has variables, sometimes I get things right and other times ??????

DPMS. Bought it for a dedicated 22 upper.
Cinner kit specs check out fine, no problem with the upper fit just brl.
I will check the chamber Mon. Didnt even think about checking with a go no go till now.

Did check one of my other DPMS CR brls. and it is closer to fitting just droping it in.

Probably a very tight chamber, I had this problem with a stainless DPMS barrel recently. Friend of mine had a similar issue with an RRA, though that was both the chamber and the receiver.

I figured - mine required a bit of filing on the front of the chamber adapter - mark it up and go slow - don't file too much at one time.

Actually, spell checker keeps coming up Sinner.
Shame, I feel sorry for the good conversions that have to carry the name.
But I've called them worse, especially when I had to use his magazines.

I have one of his conversions, bought it with three thirty round mags from him at Knob Creek during the ban for my M-16. Damn thing wouldn't run through even one magazine with out several malfunctions, I tossed it into the spare parts bin and forgot about it years ago. A buddy who knew I had it asked to borrow it, he had several Black Dog mags (he was waiting for his conversion to arrive) He reports back the damn thing runs GOOD!

Ceiner mags are total CRAP!

One buddy has a DPMS and a JC kit. His is also a very tight fit. His rifle is pretty new and I doubt it is too dirty. The kit will go in but it takes a good push to make it happen. Then its hard to get out so I think its either the side rails are tight on the upper, or (less likely) he chamber adapter is just a bit on the larger side. I have seen these where you had to clean up the slots on the side of the chamber adapter to allow the side rails to fit in closer to avoid being too tight in the upper.
