Just got my first AR. A Bushmaster A2 with a 20" barrel.  Bushmaster stated that there was no need to "break-in" the new barrel.  My question is will using a break-in process help with the accracy of the rifle?  What break-in method did you use, if any?  Thanks!

Chrome lined barrels will not require break in. That is other than shooting it! Going through the "break-in" process on a chrome lined barrel will do nothing to improve the function of your rifle. It will, however, serve to waste your time [:P]

What I did with my new Armalite M15A2 is take it out of the box, clean it, and shoot the hell out of it.

It's not that the bore requires no breakin... it's just that the breakin is atypical of non-chrome lined bores. Bushmaster recommends shooting 200 rds thru it and then cleaning it. That's it. They specifically state NOT to clean before you've shot 200 rds or it will just increase the breakin time.
