Anyone have an idea where I might find a new production chrome lined 16" lightweight barrel?   I like Bushmaster's 16" superlight but it is only 1X9".

Thanks

if you want a true "lightweight" profile bbl. then the only one i have seen is colt.  jt distributing shows one in their new catolog but not sure if its a readily available item.

cmmg's lightweight is .750 at the fsb so its just a turned down std/hvy bbl.

I believe Diemaco also made lightweight 16" barrels with 1/7 twists, but Diemaco anything is usually pretty hard to come by.  One option would be to get a normal 16", 1/7 twist barrel (M4 profile, HBAR, etc.) and a .625" FSB, and have someone like Adco profile the barrel and drill it and the FSB for taper pins.

the price on that would not be justifiable imo

Bushmasters barrel is listed as .625 at the FSB.   The CMMG may work, still better than an HBAR or a M4 profile.   Looking for something to put on the wife's build.

A Colt 6520 barrel would work.
