Usually a like yourself could go here: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=176348&page=1 and see a COMPARISON CHART which would have answered your question.......

which by the way is on the MOST ASKED list near the top, hence Tweak's sarcasm......

MAYBE HE CAN EXPLAIN WHY THE LINKS THERE DON"T WORK????????

Colt and Bushmaster are the most popular, but there are plenty of other companies out there doing it as well. Just don't get chrome lined and chromemoly confused, they aren't the same thing.

model1 website now does offer chrome lining on some barrel models.......
also, jt's new catalog (winter 04/05) offers chrome lining on their in-house barrels.....the full liteweight 14.5 sounds intriguing.

To my knowledge OAI does not chrome line anything. They will be offering their proprietary hardening technique, called Maxhard, soon.

Some of the smaller kit companies are offering chrome lining now.

Last I knew that was true. Only the MT6400C has a chrome lined bore. The other MT rifles only have chrome lined chambers.

That's fucking retarded, why would Colt do that?

Why would Colt do that?

Because it is their goal to act like they are always above us lowly peasants.

Look at Colt's history over the last ten or fifteen years....

What else is new.....

I was told that it was 'for the customers as they wanted more accurate rifles'.

Yes, Eagle bought the name Armalite. Eagle has become the "budget" line from the company that now calls itself Armalite. The difference between the two is supposed to be that Armalite rifles have receivers that are matched for better fit and finish match and have chrome lined barrels. Eagle marked rifles should be the same otherwise.
