How can I attatch a light with a 1" body to my flatop Bushy?  It has M4 handguards, no rails.

Try GG&G. They have a mount that can be attached to the forearm, the D&D AR15 Flashlight Mount. D&D mount

A.A.I. --Advanced Armament Inc. in GA.    Rail  4.5 inch rail mount $19.92w/ mounting hardware.  They also have the Swiss Vertical combat foregrip {H&K style} also $19.99.  Sorry, do not have the link at this computer.  Great service.  Great products.
